U.S. Army Medicine Civilian Corps Continues Strong Recruitment Efforts with Virtual Career Fair

3/20/12 (Tue)

The Civilian Corps of the United States Army Medical Command (MEDCOM) will host a virtual career fair to continue its strong efforts of creating awareness of medical career opportunities available for civilian healthcare professionals. Interested individuals may attend the interactive virtual career fair from March 26-30, 2012 at www.civilianmedicaljobs.com/webfair.

“The virtual career fair is one of MEDCOM’s several hiring initiatives scheduled this year, all of which will ultimately lead to the hiring of qualified medical professionals,” says Dr. Joseph Harrison, Chief, Recruitment and Retention, Headquarters U.S. Army Medical Command, Civilian Human Resources Division. “We kicked off the new year with a career fair in Austin, Texas followed by a corresponding web fair in January to recruit for healthcare professionals at the Fort Hood Darnall-Army Medical Center. The upcoming virtual career fair will continue our strong efforts to make this year one of new opportunities and new hires.”

The upcoming virtual career fair will focus on hiring behavioral healthcare professionals for medical treatment facilities within the Western Regional Medical Command (WRMC). The facilities are spread out across Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, Texas and Washington state and are hiring for positions such as Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Social Workers and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners. The virtual career fair will provide job seekers an interactive environment to learn more about job opportunities and locations and the excellent benefits of working with the Army Medicine Civilian Corps. Participants may also submit questions and receive feedback from career consultants until the end of the career fair on Friday, March 30. After March 30, job seekers are still able to find job opportunities with the Army Medicine Civilian Corps by visiting the main website at www.civilianmedicaljobs.com and searching the available positions posted.
