U.S. Army Medicine Civilian Corps Expands Hiring Focus in 2015

SAN ANTONIO, Texas, Jan. 13, 2015 –The Civilian Corps of the U.S. Army Medical Command (MEDCOM) is expanding their national recruitment efforts to include more primary care professionals in 2015.

Approximately 60% of the Army Medicine workforce; nearly 45,000 civilian healthcare professionals work in Army hospitals and clinics worldwide. According to Dr. Joseph Harrison Jr., Chief of Recruitment and Retention for the U.S. Army Medicine Civilian Corps, “The Army Medicine’s needs are fluid and continually shift and expand.”  

“Behavioral health remains a top priority in Army Medicine; we encourage all professionals in the field to apply for our open positions. Moreover, in recent months we’ve seen a growing need for additional primary care professionals to staff Army hospitals and clinics worldwide.”  

There are currently hundreds of employment opportunities with the U.S. Army Medicine Civilian Corps, for example, registered nurses, nurse practitioners, physicians, psychologists and social workers to name a few.
