AMEDD Personnel Receives 2012 Diversity Outreach Awards

Three members of the Department of Army have been selected to receive two Diversity Outreach Awards.  Mr. Jaime Cavazos, Senior Public Affairs Supervisor, Directorate of Communications, will receive the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) Award. MSG Arnold Gonzales, Equal Opportunity Advisor, Dwight David Eisenhower Army Medical Center, and Ms. Susana Rodriguez, Health Systems Specialist, Directorate of Program Analysis and Evaluation, will be receiving the National Organization for Mexican American Rights (NOMAR) Meritorious Service Awards for their respective categories of Military and Civilian personnel.  Each of these individuals will be recognized for their efforts and hard work at events conducted by LULAC and NOMAR in partnership with the Department of Defense scheduled later this year.

The Diversity Outreach Awards are awarded to individuals who have performed their duties in a remarkable manner and the attributes they possess epitomizes the qualities and core values of the Army and US Army Medical Command.  By promoting the tenets of civil/human rights, equal opportunity, human relations, and/or public service, and displaying exceptional character, each individual has distinguished themselves as an outstanding leader, role model, and mentor for other Department of Defense and Department of Army personnel.
